Corporate Sillymen: A Jester in Business

Travel through the day to day life of a business jester! From their whimsical office to the local grocery store, this series is an exploration of community. It examines both the big and small support systems interwoven in our routine that makes us who we are. Highlighting how small interactions evolve into significant connections, the series emphasizes that anyone can become a part of your community, you just need to say "hi,".
Drafts of the corporate sillymen office. Pitting together two juxtaposing concepts, one of a jester and another of a corporate landscape, the beginnings of this world turn a typical life of an office worker on its head.
Grocery Run
Popping out of the frame, the work "Grocery Run" invites the viewer into a scene of routine and familiarity. Working with a variety of materials and textures, a mundane shopping trip is collaged together to show the warmth found within these third spaces.
Catching a breath of fresh air on the rooftop, the sillymen take in the skyline. As their headgear conflict with their normal office attire, the work "break time" highlights how they still retain individuality in a corporate landscape, together.
Break Time
Experimenting with collage, print, and texture, the world sown together breaks free from its flat surface to engage and invite the viewer into its warmth and whimsy.
Forgotten Flower Fields
Surrounded by bright and vibrant flowers, the work "Forgotten flower fields" frames childhood in vivid color. The kids run around in this field of nostalgia as a distant figure stands, watching, lingering.
Capturing a moment in the jester's daily life, a community reveals itself within this routine. From the laughter of the school children to the bus uncle's chuckle at their chaos, the morning commute is never boring when you know your neighbors.
Morning, Bus Uncle!
